The start of long journey-Le départ d’un long voyage

GARE JEAN-TALON

In mid 20th century, this railway station in Montreal was the start for a long journey in our Laurentians. The train that was shuttling was called « Le petit train du Nord » and headed for the village of Mont-Laurier. Today this path has been transformed into a bike path called the same name but also called by the name of « Green Road 2. » Welcome to this corridor for a bicycle tour of 232 km.

À la mi 20e siècle, cette gare de Montréal était le départ pour de longs voyages dans nos Laurentides. Le train qui faisait la navette s’appelait  » Le petit train du Nord » et il se dirigeait vers le village de Mont-Laurier. Aujourd’hui, ce chemin a été transformé en piste cyclable appelée du même nom mais aussi appelée du nom de « la route verte 2 ». Bienvenue dans ce corridor de bicyclette pour un périple de 232 km.

I just finished the film with Richard Gere about this Japanese dog who awaited his deceased master at the train station for 9 years. This story comes from Shibuya- Tokyo, Japan and the dog is a Atika Inu. The scene pictured is reproduced from the International Mosaicultures 2013 in Montreal and was made available by Japan for the occasion.

Je viens de terminer le film avec Richard Gere concernant ce chien japonais qui a attendu son maître décédé à la gare pendant 9 ans. Cette histoire vient de Tokyo-Shibuya au Japon et le chien est un Atika Inu. Cette scène photographiée est reproduite au Mosaïcultures Internationales 2013 à Montréal et a été fait par le Japon pour l’occasion.
