The dome of the St.Sulpice from Paris-Le dôme du Saint-Sulpice de Paris

Le St-Sulpice in Paris, the birthplace of my mother’s family, saw marry the ancestor who’s son Julien came to New France in 1688. His name is Jean Laniel who took to wife Judith Leseule in this beautiful church that became a historical monument in 1915. On the square, there is a huge fountain that represents four bishops-speakers of the time: Bossuet, Fenelon, Fléchier and Massillon.

Le St-Sulpice de Paris, berceau de ma famille maternelle, a vu se marier l’ancêtre dont le fils Julien est venu en Nouvelle-France en 1688. Son nom est Jean Laniel qui a pris pour épouse Judith Leseule dans cette magnifique église devenue monument historique en 1915. Sur la place, il y a une immense fontaine qui représente 4 évèques-orateurs de l’époque: Bossuet, Fénélon, Fléchier et  Massillon.

Cape Roccapina-Cap Roccapina

The cape Roccapina is part of the Township of Sartène in Corsica. On both sides of the cape, you will find two of the most beautiful beaches of Corsica: Erbaju and the creek of Roccapina. The rocky point ( 144 m.) is the summit known as The Lion of Roccapina. The genoese tower is from the 17e century and is an historical monument.

Le cap Roccapina fait partie de la commune de Sartène dont le territoire est le plus étendu de Corse. De part et d’autre du cap, se trouvent de remarquables plages : la grande plage d’Erbaju au nord, la plage de la crique de Roccapina.
