Wilson falls-Chutes Wilson

In 1893, J.-C. Wilson Company buys a carton plant and turns it into pulp mill. The Company was established across Canada and had a plant in Lachute. After several years of operation, the pulp mill will close its doors in the fall of 1957. It has left its name to this location. The site is now the Regional Park of the Rivière-du-Nord. En 1893, la Compagnie J.-C. Wilson achète une usine de carton et la transforme en pulperie. La Compagnie était  implantée à travers tout le Canada et possédait une usine à Lachute. Après plusieurs années d’exploitation, la pulperie fermera ses portes à l’automne de 1957. Elle aura laissé son nom à cet emplacement. Le site est aujourd’hui le Parc régional de la Rivière-du-Nord. Des panneaux d’interprétation rappellent l’histoire de la Vieille-Pulperie

Beautiful victorian house-Magnifique maison victorienne

There are a multitude of Victorian house in Cape May and I really think this is the Victorian capital of the United States but at least in New Jersey. This style of houses reminds us of the history of this great country, but also the slavery that some films like Django Unchained tells us snippets.

Il y a une multitude de maisons victoriennes à Cape May et je pense vraiment que c’est la capitale victorienne des États-Unis mais à tout le moins du New Jersey. Ce style de maisons nous rappelle l’histoire de ce grand pays mais aussi de l’esclavage dont certains films comme Django Unchained nous en raconte des bribes.

Lamp post-Lampadaire

Edinburgh is a fascinating city because of his history but also it has many different lamp posts that enhance its urban assets. Here is one that I particularly like.

Dress up like in the old days, they salute their pioneers of the breton and celtic histories. Ties, braces, shawls, hats and headdresses are then obligatory for all. Please enjoy taking pictures.

926 habitants, 358 logements, Brélès est la place à visiter au mois d’août. Ils célèbrent leur pays avec tout leur coeur et leur joie: le Pays d’Iroise. Costumé comme dans les beaux jours d’antan, ils se souviennent des pionniers de l’histoire bretonne et celte. Cravates, bretelles, châles,chapeaux et coiffes deviennent alors de rigueur pour tous. In the country of Iroise-Au pays d’Iroise

Flanked with 20m.(66 Feet) high cliffs, Lok Maze as they say in Breton, have many attractions nearby: the abbey, the lighthouse, the cenotaph and the signal station. At 10 km(6 mi.) of the city of Brest, it is the end of the continent or the end of the world as they were saying in the past. The Pointe St-Mathieu (Lok Maze)  is a place rich in walking and full of history.

Flanquée de falaises de 20 m., Loq Maze, comme on dit en breton, possède plusieurs attractions tout près: un abbaye, un phare, un sémaphore et un cénotaphe. À 10 km. de Brest, c’est le bout du continent ou la fin du monde comme on le disait anciennement. La Pointe St-Mathieu (Lok Maze) est un endroit riche en promenade et rempli d’histoire.
