Voici un « timelapse » que 40 photographes ont réalisé sur la ville de Londres avec le concours de Triggertrap, un instrument précieux pour les photographes.

The entire structure is 135 metres (443 ft) tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 metres (394 ft). When erected in 1999 it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until surpassed first by the 160 m (520 ft) Star of Nanchang in 2006 and then the 165 m (541 ft) Singapore Flyer in 2008.
La structure mesure 135 mètres hors tout (443 Pi.) mais la roue a un diamètre de 120 mètres (394 Pi.). Lors de son érection en 1999, elle était la plus haute roue au monde. Elle fut depuis surpassée en 2006 par l’Étoile de Nanchang (160m./520pi.), puis par le Singapore Flyer en 2008 (165m/541pi.).
Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, over the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name. It has become an iconic symbol of London and originally it was painted a mid greenish-blue colour before the red-blue-white for the Queen Élizabeth Silver Jubilee.

The Royal Albert Hall is a concert hall on the northern edge of South Kensington, in the City of Westminster, London, England, best known for holding the annual summer Proms concerts since 1941. The Albert Memorial is also situated in Kensington Garden, directly North to Albert Hall. It was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her beloved husband, Prince Albert who died of typhoid in 1861.

The Royal Albert Hall est une salle de concert du coté nord du jardin South Kensington, dans la ville de Westminster, Londres, Angleterre, elle est mieux connue pour sa présentation annuelle de concerts d’été Proms depuis 1941. Le Monument Albert est aussi situé dans les jardins Kensington, directement au nord de la salle de concert. Commandé par la Reine Victoria en souvenir de son époux bien-aimé, le Prince Albert mort de la fièvre typhoïde en 1861.
The Olga and the vessel in which the needle was encased was named Cleopatra. During a storm the Cleopatra capsized in the Bay of Biscay on 14 October 1877 with the loss of six men. They built a tugboat especially to head to Spain and pick up the needle. Cleopatra was towed up the Thames and the needle erected in its current location by the Savoy, along with rather lovely bronze sphinxes on 12th September 1878. The sphinxes are actually facing the wrong way (Queen Victoria thought this was more aesthetically pleasing.) – they should be guarding the needle rather than looking at it.
L’Olga et un vaisseau dans lequel l’obélisque était encaissé qui s’appelait Cleopatra sombrèrent le 14 octobre 1877 dans le golfe de Gascogne en amenant avec lui la moitié de l’équipage. Il ont par la suite construit un remorqueur pour récupérer l’obélisque et le Cleopatra a été trainé sur la Tamise jusqu’à l’emplacement où y a été érigé l’obélisque. On y a aussi placé des sphinx en bronze le 12 septembre 1878. Les sphinx ne regardent pas dans la bonne direction car la Reine Victoria trouvait plus esthétique qu’ils regardent l’obélisque plutôt qu’ils ne le gardent.
In Kensington Garden, there is a small and nice garden where Lady Diana was lounging when she was in London. A wide variety of birds reside in that garden that is well maintained by many gardeners.
Dans le Kensington Garden, il y a un petit et agréable jardin où Lady Diana se prélassait lorsqu’elle était à Londres. Une grande variété d’oiseaux réside dans ce jardin qui est très bien entretenu par plusieurs jardiniers.
I can hear everyone: it is deja vu. Why the tower? Because our Premier is in London and she will visit Scotland ( Edinburgh) tomorrow and that’s all we hear on TV in Québec. The tower is now known as Elizabeth II Tower since 2012. The bell inside is called BIG BEN and is subject to many debates: is it the bell or the clock or the tower’s name? Who can tell by now?
Je peux tous vous entendre: c’est du déjà vu. Pourquoi la tour? Parce que notre Premier Ministre est à Londres et qu’elle visitera l’Écosse (Édimbourg) demain, c’est tout ce qu’on entend à la TV du Québec. La tour est maintenant connue comme la Tour Elizabeth II depuis 2012. La cloche de la tour est appelée BIG BEN mais est sujette à plusieurs débats: Est-ce le nom de la cloche ou de l’horloge ou de la tour? Qui sait aujourd’hui?
The second of two memorials to Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Al-Fayed, located in the Harrods department store in London. The statue, unveiled in 2005, is titled « Innocent Victims ».
