Primevère/Primula – Primrose / Primula

Primo vere signifie au début du printemps en latin, voila pourquoi le français les appelle « Primevère »; l’anglais « Primrose » vient du vieux français primerole en latin primula veris signifiant « Firstling of spring ». Tout ça ne veut simplement dire que le printemps est là .

Common primrose often announces spring because it is one of the first plant to blossom. In the undergrowth, they prefer a shady sun and their flower even if simple are magnificent.

La primevère commune annonce souvent le printemps car c’est une des premières fleurs à éclore. Elle prolifère souvent dans les sous-bois car elle préfère un soleil couvert mais même si simple d’apparat, elle est magnifique.
