Le printemps arrive / The spring is coming

Ce matin, chez moi, même s’il y a encore près de 15 cm de neige au sol, ces tourterelles tristes ont décidé de reconstituer un couple car la saison des amours est là. Comme ils sont monogames et fortement attachés l’un à l’autre, c’est peut-être un couple permanent.

This morning, at home, even though there is still about 15 cm of snow on the ground, these mourning doves have decided to rebuild a couple because the season of love is there. Since they are monogamous and strongly attached to each other, it may be a permanent couple.

Belle Dame – Painted Lady

Au Québec en 2017, il y a eu une multitude de Belle Dame qui y ont transitée. Elles transitent normalement à une centaine de mètres au dessus du sol mais les vents du sud les forcent à se tenir près du sol.

In Quebec in 2017, there was a multitude of Painted Lady who passed through. They usually pass a few hundreds feet above the ground but southerly winds force them to stand near the ground.
