Le printemps amène les tulipes ou les tulipes amènent le printemps.

Le printemps arrive / The spring is coming

Ce matin, chez moi, même s’il y a encore près de 15 cm de neige au sol, ces tourterelles tristes ont décidé de reconstituer un couple car la saison des amours est là. Comme ils sont monogames et fortement attachés l’un à l’autre, c’est peut-être un couple permanent.

This morning, at home, even though there is still about 15 cm of snow on the ground, these mourning doves have decided to rebuild a couple because the season of love is there. Since they are monogamous and strongly attached to each other, it may be a permanent couple.

Des fleurs à profusion – Flowers in abundance

De petites feuilles mais WOW une profusion de fleurs, un printemps un peu tardif mais il sera grandiose comme toujours.

Déjà un peu du printemps – Already a bit of spring

Voici que les Laurentides se fleurissent un peu, les perce-neige, les crocus et autres fleurs à bulbe se pointent le nez, encore un peu et les bourgeons et feuilles apparaîtront.

Crosse de violon-Fiddlehead

Un autre signe du printemps, les fougères sortent de terre en crosse de violon. Bravo à la nature pour son renouveau.

Primevère/Primula – Primrose / Primula

Primo vere signifie au début du printemps en latin, voila pourquoi le français les appelle « Primevère »; l’anglais « Primrose » vient du vieux français primerole en latin primula veris signifiant « Firstling of spring ». Tout ça ne veut simplement dire que le printemps est là .

Primo vere means early spring in Latin, that is why the French called them « Primevère »; in English « Primrose«  comes from the Old French primerole in Latin primula veris meaning « Firstling of spring. » All that does simply means that spring is here.

Chardonneret (Tarin) des Pins – Pine siskin

Cet oiseaux qui fréquente nos mangeoires en ce temps de l’année porte deux noms en français (Spinus pinus) mais c’est le même oiseau. Il virevolte très rapidement et se promène en bande. C’est le printemps.

This birds that frequent our feeders at this time of the year has two names in French (Spinus pinus) but it is the same bird. He spins very quickly and lives in great band. It’s spring.

Les feuilles arrivent – Leaves coming

Ce n’est pas encore le temps mais elles arriveront un jour. Voici une jeune pousse de mélèze au printemps, elles feront le plaisir des oiseaux qui y nichent.

Fleurs de pommiers – Apple blossoms

Voici le printemps qui arrive avec la floraison des pommiers. Dans un verger de St-Joseph du Lac, Québec, à la ferme des Fromages du Verger, j’ai pu prendre quelques clichés de ces fleurs printanières.

Here is the spring coming with the blooming of apple trees. In an orchard in St. Joseph du Lac, Quebec, on the farm of the Fromages du Verger, I could take some pictures of these spring flowers.
